Look at my New Thor Hurricane 2020

We Traded in our Thor 24.1 2016 Vegas begining of Nov 2019! It just had it's 4th windshield installed!

We bought a 2020 Thor Hurricane 35m.

Hasn't had a water tank since 1st week, leak at molded pipe connection!

It is now sitting in Bedford PA Ford Dealership with a blown engine just over 2300 miles on it. Had 1100 on it from delivery.

Wife was driving 25 miles hour leaving Antietam KOA and locked the F up!

I Live on the coast of NC! Was not a fun experience of this old squid!

Had trips planned for Florida each month for next 4 months!

Anyone want to take over payments! ha

Really love the RV and floor plan! Dropped 5k in upgrades already!

I saw two of these chassis' at Peach State Ford last year...both with blown engines...new coaches...one only had 1,800 miles on it. Something is up but not being discussed. There's too many of them running around with no issues for this to be a panic but something is wrong somewhere.

This is the first that I've heard of these engines grenading...

But I've had a couple of my clients lost the V-6 engines in the pickup trucks.

At least it's a Ford issue; and not a Thor issue.

It’s a beautiful coach. Hopefully Ford will make it right again. I’ve not heard of any issues with the 6.8L either. At least not in the last 10 years or so. Please let us know what’s up and especially if you find out it’s not a one-off defect. Good luck!

It would be nice to know what happened. Was it a blown rod, spun bearings, dropped valve.

Saying there is a blown engine is like shooting a shotgun at a fly. Buckshot all over the place and maybe, not certain, a dead fly.

Whatever happened: this RV had an engine that wasn't right, and it will be replaced by Ford.

Since we bought it in Nov, we still don't have a fresh water tank, that's been on back order, plus we have all kinds of other things. You know they don't even vacuum sawdust from under bed or sofa??

Learned a lot about breaking down and having to deal with Nationwide's 3rd party Broke down service, wasn't fun! Was living hell!

My last one, 2016 Thor Vegas just had it's 4th windshield installed right before trade in! You think I would of Learned!
I'm not sure that would make him happy.

Did it eat, or spit out one or more spark plugs? Early V-10s were well known for shooting out a plug or two.

Blown engine and locked up could mean rear-end or anything in between.
The lack of detail is some posts is exasperating.

There's no pressure in a molded water tank.
I'd have that fixed in about 3 minutes once access was made.

Send me payoff and I'll possibly take a chance.

What a beautiful coach!!!

If you only knew how hard we tried to get a Hurricane or Windsport, but it was as if the dealers didn't want us to buy one

My question outside of what went wrong with the engine is how did you come to have to get 4 windshields? Were the windshields damaged or was it they just didn't re-install it properly 3 times?

Thanks to you guys and this site I had twice walked away from deals that I was so certain to be the coach for us. It was very hard to do. For a while I was beginning to believe we would never find the perfect coach. This OP has different set of unfortunate circumstances as they surfaced after the purchase.

We absolutely love our coach and I am so glad we waited. It is actually at a Winnebago Dealer now for a few minor warranty items. It was a little tricky because I had to take to a Local Dealer that I did not buy from. We ended up with better coach with more features than the local dealers had, and for about $10k less by going to Florida. You may recall me wanting HDMI wiring, San T Flush, MCD Blackout shades etc. We got it all. We didn't get bit by any Alligators while there; so that Florida gator talk must be all hype?

I finally finished the Safe T Plus install. I am working on the EC - 30 AGS and Engine Disconnect Switch now.

RV is at Bedford PA Ford/RV dealership. When we dropped it off, they said they were back logged. Gotta wait and see!
