We moved up to a Windsport 31s and are happy after a few fit and finish issues that were taken care of by the dealer and Thor. My biggest advice is to get the two a/c’s with the 50 amps and 5500 generator. There are plenty of posts about people regretting not getting the second a/c, and adding it later. By doing this you still only have 30amps and a 4000 generator. Also you need to find a good dealer that will take care of you after the sale with any warranty issues. General consensus here seems to be stay away from Camping World..

Good that’s seems to be half the battle. Dealers having the Motorhome for months to do warranty repairs and blaming Thor for not getting parts. I am lucky to have a decent dealer and that was never an issue for me.

I agree completely with Kev. We upgraded to a Hurricane 29M last November and we love it. I also recommend the two a/c and 5500 generator, you will need both a/c when temps go over 90 degrees. It sounds like you are working with a quality dealership which is very important. We are extremely happy with our dealer who has promptly handled several warranty repairs with no hassles.

Tom

Shop around. We were originally going to buy a Hurricane, but ended up with a Challenger for $10k more. Don't be in a hurry and be willing to walk away from a deal that doesn't feel right.

Edit: Sorry, I guess I misread your original post, I thought you were just looking, not buying. Welcome and good luck with your new ride. Lots of good advice in here if you have any questions.

Greg,
Congratulations on your new rig!
What sort of modifications do you think that you'll be doing on the Hurricane? (Will any of them be the same ones that you did to the Quantum?)
Don't forget to post some pictures for us!

We went from a C to an A and it’s been great. The comfort and visibility are definitely a plus. 17000 miles and still moving on. Currently on a 3 month trip, adding another 5 k miles. Happy trails. Jerry

Look for a different manufacturer. Had nothing but trouble in our 2017 Miramar 33.5. 12 out of 18 months in the shop and now on the road in DC with a busted slide out. Quality control does not exist with this company, please read many other comments on different questions to back my point.
