New 2107 Challenger Owner

Hello, first time post. My wife and I are new owners (and new RV'ers for that matter) of a 2017 Challenger 37TB. Excited about it and made 1 trip from KY to NC so far. Seems like a good coach, though have shower leak issue working to resolve quickly. I've been told Thor Ind. takeover of the Challenger line was one for the better. Curious for thoughts from other owners of this model.

Welcome the the Thor family and the Challenger Owners Club. No dues, no rules. Owing a Challenger is the only requirement. Join rvillage.com for free and RVillage - Group Profile - Thor Challenger Owners Unite
Just keep your location current at rvillage.com and you can meet other Challenger owners nearby where-ever you are. Select map and set range to find other owners. In the begining the "old timers" can be very helpful.
Questions or problems - ask us.
Re shower leak - where is the water showing up first?

GVCC - congrats on the new coach. We've had our 37TB for about 18 months and 28,000 miles - love it. We travel a great deal with our grand kids, to include a 7500 mile cross country trip with return in 2016. It handled the trip with a few problems but no show stoppers. Search this forum with my forum name "bigben" and you'll find lots of our experiences.

We also dry camp for a couple of months in the winter. The on board water capacities are key to making that a stress free time.

We'd like a bit more room in the front living area but in total our Challenger is a home run.

Welcome and congratulations. I love my Challenger but of course it is an RV and nothing is perfect. I also had the same shower leak which should be easily fixed by re-caulking with clear seal. Start building a warranty list and be sure keep in contact with both your dealer and Thor Warranty directly. I have heard stories of dealers failing people but Thor Warranty has been nothing but spectacular so far and that is who I deal with directly.

There are a lot of great and very k knowledgeable Challenger owners on here and RVillage.com so definitely keep in contact and we can learn from each other and make our Rv experiences that much better.

Welcome GVCC, and congrats on your new coach! We are new to Thor MH's also. If you get the chance and are in northern Indiana visit the factory that built your unit. It is a tour worth taking.

Congrats and welcome to the forum. We have had our Challenger for almost 2 years and the only issue is our lack of use (not enough travel time).

Congrats! We are full timers in our 2016 Challenger LX. Currently parked in the Air Force Academy Famcamp, but heading South in a couple of weeks. Only problems we have had were with the wipers, and we have a small cold water leak in the shower area. Planning to swing by the dealer for a fix on our way to FL. Enjoy your coach!

Welcome to the forum.

Curious to know where your shower is leaking and how you noticed it.

We noticed a leak at the floor level, left-front of the shower. Seems to be a cold water leak. Just a small amount when using the shower.

On our last trip I had a small leak on mine which turned out to be an absence of caulk around the shower door on the right side (when viewed from inside the shower). A small bead of caulk along the door frame and no more leak.

Thanks! Took it to dealer and they re-caulked it but I still noticed it was leaking (though smaller) at the base of floor on left front corner (as you face the shower from within the bathroom). This was particularly concerning because it appears to be coming from behind the shower stall. Might be loose fittings or something...have it back at dealer in hopes they'll resolve it quickly.

Thanks for the update. I also re-caulked but still experiencing a leak in the same place as yours. I'll be curious as to what they find.
