New Axis 24.1

My wife and I just placed a deposit on a new 2021 Axis 24.1 (with the new chassis/engine). We owned a Newmar Dutchstar for 14 years and 99,000 miles but sold it 3 years ago. We’ve come ro realize that the hotel gig isn’t for us.

An Axis 24.1 is a huge step down from a 39’ Dutchstar for sure but the floorplan works for us, especially the ease of access as my wife has some physical. challenges.

It’s scheduled to come in in about 5 weeks. We’ll be asking a lot of questions!

Jim from MO

Congratulations and welcome.

You can spend the 5 weeks or so reading Ed's excellent crowd-sourced Axis/Vegas owner's manual found here:
https://www.thorforums.com/forums/f1...nual-4961.html

(By the time it comes in you'll know more about the coach than the guy showing it to you LOL.)

Congratulations.

Other than chassis differences, are you aware of any other changes and or upgrades for 2021 model year Axis?

I haven’t seen the latest information or literature from Thor — still showing 2020 model year.

Because I downloaded Ed’s manual about 3 months ago, I ALREADY knew more about it! [emoji3]

I am trying to get that info in writing myself. I seem to remember that it has Apple Car Play and TPMS. I sure hope so.

The factory is late getting the new info out due to the shutdown.

I’l let you guys know what I find our.

Thanks — I look forward to new information for 2021.

For what it’s worth, Ford specs show TPMS is now an option on Dual Rear Wheel chassis, and is included in motorhome prep package. What we don’t know for certain is whether Thor orders the stripped chassis with motorhome package or not; although I expect they would.

Previously, only Single Rear Wheel E-Series offered TPMS.
