Howdy from Texas Ya'll. Picked up our 2018 ACE 30.4 last month just returned from a 2K trip, Gosh it's noisy. Breaking seems a little hard but this is my first MH so what do I know?

You won't believe this the fresh water tank bracket pulled the screws out and the tank fell inside the compartment, still waiting to get back to the dealer for a fix, also the door is hard to lock suggestions?

Anyway I'm learning but having a great time and Nice To Meet Ya!

Welcome! Results on that vary, especially due to variations in dealers. Avoid the trap of the dealer saying, "Just leave it and we'll call you when it is done!" Some have waited for long weeks without their new coach under that scenario.

You might reduce the noise by adding a layer of FatMat under the doghouse. You'll find extensive discussion on all the things you mentioned with a search. Further reduction would come from using the same stuff under the dash. It will never be as quiet as a car or pickup, you are sitting right on top of a big V-10 engine, designed to rev high on steep hills!

Sorry. There are no stupid questions. You know that big cover under the dash and between the two captains chairs in the front? Someone decided that thing looks like a doghouse, thus the moniker.
I thought you would probably ask about FatMat. It's self sticking reflective sheets that are for sound and heat insulation, commonly used under hoods. DynaMat is a similar product.

Got, it no I spent 35 years in automotive aftermarket parts so at least I know about FatMat. Thanks for the help

I have this model, it’s common to have whistling noise that comes from the grill. There are fixes for that posted on other threads. Maybe I’m old but can barely hear engine.

We have a 17 ACE 30.4 and yes, it is, was noisy. Any type of noise while on the road drives me to distraction. Had to do put foam pipe insulation around the pex water lines especially where they hit the sides of the lower compartments. Put adhesive backed foam weather strips the the bathroom door jamb, between the main and screen door, on the backside of the blinds where they bang against the window frame and fatmat in the doghouse and firewall. Excessive? Maybe, but on good road it’s fairly quiet ride and a normal conversation with the DW. Still have one rattle when I hit a rough spot, I think it’s the TV banging against the wall mount.
