New chap

Hi, Joined from England. My wife and I are looking to buy a THOR ACE in a couple of years and pick it up from the USA then spend a as long as it takes to travel the entire country. We are looking at a minimum of 18 months but more likely about 2 1/2 years.
When that adventure is over we will be importing the RV back to the UK, having it converted and then spending 3-4 years touring Europe.
I have joined this forum to get valuable advice and top tips as we are complete novices.
Cheers
G

Well "as long as it takes to travel the entire country"! You could spend a lifetime doing that.

Sounds like a fun plan. Once you get it over the pond there you'll have to be very wary of where you take it (a lot more "smaller" roads over there than here in the states).

Cheers Jamie,

I lived in Europe for 6 years and will be parking up and hiring a car to get about locally. If no cars then a good old push bike will do the trick

Wow! Great plan. I don't know if you have driven an ACE yet, but while they are easy to drive on our US roads, I'm not sure - no I am quite sure that I would not like to drive one down the roads in Cornwall or Wales, especially driving from the left seat on the left hand side of the road. Driving a car on those roads is nerve wracking enough.
