New Chateau owner.
We bought this Chateau in late July and have taken it from just north of New Orleans to Sacramento, CA and back through the Grand Canyon, Roswell, NM, Houston, ,TX then home.
Mechanically, this rig seems to be solid, but the fit and finish inside leaves something to be desired.
Still, loving the experience.

Yes, I would think so! That's a lot of driving though, about 400 miles a day. We took a road trip to Cleveland last month in my F-150 (stayed with friends, family or motels). 4500 miles in 2 weeks, and I'm not interested in doing that again. In an RV, I know there are some advantages, but the added stress driving a rig would be enough to outweigh the benefits for me. You're a road warrior!

road warrior for sure at over 400 miles per day average!
We did approx 5,200 miles this summer in 19 days, for an average of approx 273 miles per day.
We did a few hard long days back to back here and there, but would try to break up even those long days with a stop at a museum or something for the kids.... then we'd break and have some easy days with fewer miles
I could have kept on going for many more days but the family was getting tired of it.
And I felt like we were just getting a taste of the places, and not really getting to experience many of them
Yes, the fit and finish is lacking....I've been over, in, and through just about everything in ours by now doing little fixes that i should never had to do and modifications....even after a few major repairs and issues....but we are still enjoying ours
Glad you had a successful break-in trip!
oh, I like the new overcab clearance lights they are putting on now....nice!

I did have some help, my son helped with driving up to Sacramento, we did 800 mile days and got there in 3 days. That helped a lot.

Wow that sounds like a very nice, long trip. I just bought the 29G and have not yet had our first outing.
Question- does your Chateau have the auto leveling jacks, and if so do your front jacks sit low when fully retracted? My front jacks sit 4" from the ground when retracted so I am a bit concerned. Thanks.

I don't have leveling jacks on this model. So far, it hasn't been a problem.

The front jacks on our 31W sit pretty low also, about 4-5 inches. Have not hit them on anything yet. We did hit rear pumpkin on a speed bump going into a campground in Charleston SC. They had about a dozen speed bumps going in, will never stay there again. I was taking them with only one side and hit the pumpkin on an end of one. I now know to take them with both wheels. Actually broke the seal on the diff pan cover and had to take it off, reseal it, and refill.

We have a Chateau 35SD and our front levelers are also lower than the aft ones. Looks like about 4 inches above the ground. So far they have been working fine...

I was thinking of doing the same since I have Direct TV now on AT&T. I was either just going to hook it up where the CD player is plugged in or directly to the TV in one of the open ports. I need to purchase the USB C to HDMI cable.
