ACE or Resonate 29G 2022

Thinking of purchasing A29G would like to flat tow Approximately 6500 pound vehicle with motor cycle just wondering if anyone is out there with this unit towing and is the unit capable without any major power issues Also what is the major differences between an Ace and a resonate?

Its only a GVRW 18000k with a GCWR of 23000
that's only 5000 for towing .
the hitch is good for 8000 but the rv is only good for 5000.
These full slide ace's are heavy even before you put all you stuff in them...

Tom gave you some good information concerning GCWR and max towing of 5000 lbs if the coach is at GCWR. It would be pretty difficult to keep the coach weight 1500 lbs below GCWR in order to tow 6500 Lbs - maybe if you have a 3000+ OCCC (a number not published by Thor - you have to go look at one).

The engine/drivechain would have no issues pulling 6500 lbs if under GCWR.

The full wall slide comment does not apply to the 29G as it has two slides.

ACE and Resonate are sister coaches - no difference except for maybe inside colors. Just like Hurricane and Windsport.

So after speaking to Thor the GVW weight of the Resonate 29G is 15,400 lbs with a full tank of gas no other fluids your GCWR weight is 23000 leaves you a balance of 7600 pounds to work with for your tow vehicle cargo propane water people clothes ect... with that I think im doable keeping my toad with bike at 5900 lbs ill have approximately 1700 lbs to play with for Cargo

The smaller Thor class C's built on the F-450 chassis, like the Four Winds 26X have a GVWR of 14,500 lbs and a GCWR of 22,000 lbs. So if you want a small, short fuel efficient coach to tow 8,000 lbs, that is it.

Ford charges $9,400 more for a F-53 26,000 LB chassis as compared to a E-450 18,000 lb chassis. Of course changing chassis would mean the floor would have to be redesigned, like Newmar does on the REDs when Spartan chassis are option to the standard Freightliner at a cost of better than $40,000.

I was talking about the F-53 23k chassis the ace is on vs an optional F-53 26k.
