Howdy,
Not owners yet. Just started looking today with long time expected before purchase...as long as 12 months likely.
But went to Camping world nearby and checked out Thor Freedom 31 and Hurricane 29M. Fell in love with layout and features of the 29M. So wondering if anyone can share experiences with that specific model, Thor in general and Camping World as seller and subsequent support/service company.

Welcome to the forum. You will probably get a ton of responses on this question. Problems with new purchase rv's seem to be universal as are problems with dealers pretaining to support and service. Kind of the nature of the beast. Not unusual to drop your rv off and months later the repairs still are not finished or even started, especially warranty items. This doesn't mean it isn't a great coach or that you will not get years of great memories.

My suggestion would be not to wait until 30 days before a planned adventure to buy. Best to give yourself at least 6 months to get to know your rig.

Thanks for the response. We do expect it to take a while and we welcome any and all input. It's a huge investment and lifestyle change for us, and we will not take any of it lightly.

The general consensus around here is to run away from Camping World. The 29M model, however, is quite popular. You'll find a ton of mod info about that model here:

Welcome to our forum. My wife and I looked for years. We decided on a Nexus after years and years of looking. But we bought a Thor Hurricane 31Z. We went to Motor Home Specialist in Alvarado, Texas. They are all set up for people traveling from out of state. Great place to buy but like other dealers not great on warranty repairs. They beat every other dealer on price (killed others on the one we got). We spent two nights at their camp grounds. Found items that needed to be fixed and they were all over it. So, we found most of the warranty issues before we drove off. Let me know if you want to talk live. Be more than happy to help.

Welcome to the forum! You are smart to shop around and gather opinions.

Suggest you rent an RV (or several) before you buy one. You'll learn about your preferences. Consider a good used rig for your first RV. Hopefully, most of the initial issues will have been resolved. Plus, your service provider choices are much broader.

Dealers vary widely in many ways. The one you mentioned, C world has made a lot of folks upset. But they are masters at the sales process!

OK. I have to wonder about purchasing anything at CW now. Someone else mentioned that they add on costs that might not be necessary. Wondering what those might be.

The wife and I bought ours at central great price.We made sure everything was working before we signed on the dotted line. That would be your best advise.Also like everyone said any warranty work will take forever small items can take 4wks or longer not so much Thor but certain. Get to now the District Manager and Service Manager. Let them now what you want.

29M is my favorite floor-plan in that model.
