Good Luck enjoy yourself we are new as well we have a Palazzo Class A 33.2 will be going to SC in April late, taking small trips up and down east cost until wifie retires and heading West for the Old West California is not on the list due for my own reasons they can keep it.......

We must be from the same Mother...waiting on wife to retire (soon) bumping round east coast till then. Heading to the Wild Wild West late summer. n fall...except for California. I might throw some firecrackers along the fault line but that's as far as I'll go.

Hey, Gritz, wait to mine the fault lines till I finish my once a year obligatory visit to see my aging mother in California this spring (summer, at this rate!), then if she & two of my remainin siblings that are still clinging to the California cliffs don't finally leave out, then have at it - maybe it will finally get them outta the left coast! Nuthin short of a new eastern coastline to that state seems likely to budge them anytime soon...

Hi all. My wife and I just purchased a 2015 Thor ACE 29.3. Love it a lot. Like all newbies I sure we all have a lot of questions. My 1st question for the forum is .... I have automatic hydrolics jacks. I just pulled into an RV park and started to level it and once done I noticed the front wheels are about 2” off the ground. Is this Okay? Or will it affect the hydraulics? Any advice ...

Welcome...
You will get different answers to your first question... my opinion it’s fine, but often not necessary. The auto level often raises thing more than necessary. Try to level manually. Then if front wheels still off ground, let it be. The jacks can handle the weight..
To manually level, what works for me:
- drop front jacks till they both contact ground
- drop rear jacks till they both contact ground
- follow arrows on display to lower correct pairs
- verify with a level on countertop or floor and adjust if needed

I’ve done it without any catastrophe but typically I want all four tires at least touching the ground. The jacks certainly are strong enough to lift your coach off the ground without damage but the tires provide lateral stability. The jacks, especially at longer extension really are not designed for sideways loads. Typically there aren’t many such loads but why take the risk? Also, the issue is a bigger problem if it’s the rear wheels that are going to be airborne. Once the tires are off the ground the holding power of the transmission and parking brake are gone. I usually put some LEGO blocks under any wheels that are going to be off the ground and when I do that I’ll usually put the same number or maybe one more under the corresponding jack so it won’t have to extend so far. But the advice to use manual jacking is good as the auto feature does usually lift higher than necessary. Good luck.
