New Guy Over Here

Hello, all. Picked up my 2019 Thor ACE 30.2 last week. Just finished stocking it up and am looking forward to our first outing.

This was my third RV purchase. First was a bumper tow, then a class C, finally landed on the right class A. I did my own PDI checklist; took me four hours. I have a few questions, which I’ll fire up in the proper sections. I usually join a forum for each new thing I get, but never bothered with an RV forum for some reason. Sooo... here I am. Better late than never.

Hope you have better luck with your Thor. Read my (self) repairs / mods (so far, and I haven't even used mine yet). lol

Yeah, I’m under no illusion that these or any other MHs are put together with any care, skill, or finesse. It looks like they hire unskilled day laborers off the corner to slap these together as fast as possible. Maybe they get a one day orientation video. If I were in charge I’d fire everyone starting with the designers and would start from scratch. But then one would probably cost $400,000.

I can’t even imagine purchasing a MH and not even being able to use it. There’s no way I’d leave the lot with things so bad it’s unusable.
