Refrigerator?
I can't plug in at home. I want to get my frig cold before going to campground. Can I run it on generator without running out of propane. Haven't used generator much yet so just not sure how much propane it takes to get it cold.
Thanks for your help. Love this group.

if you use the gen to run the fridge no propane us use. Gen runs on gas

Your fridge uses VERY little propane to run and most will get colder on propane than electric. Your fridge actually uses heat to run, either a propane flame or electric heat rod. Since the propane generates more heat the fridge will actually get a little colder. Depending on the size of your fridge, outside temp, etc, your fridge will only use about 1 gallon, give or take, per week.

That's the best benefit of the propane fridge. They will run forever on very little propane! We would take the previous TT to race track and use it for 10 days with fridge on propane. Hardly noticed how little it used. Once it gets cold it works like a cooler (not running) most of the time if it's pretty full of food and "stuff". Seemed to take it about 24 hours for it to reach full temp though.

Frig ?
Ok so propane is on and frig comes on but the gas light flashes on frig. It says to check propane when flashing. We have a full tank. Also will this not run your in house batteries down while letting it get cold? What's next? Sorry about all questions. We bought this 2015 Vegas 24.1 in January from a private owner. This is our first and it seems that the dealer doesn't want to answer questions and the manuals aren't very helpful. That's why I love this group. Everyone has been so helpful. Thank you all.

Is the propane on at the tank? Does the stove light and stay lit?
Yes the fridge uses the house batteries but very little. Not nearly as much as the blower motor in the furnace.

Probably air in the line. Light the stove first. use a lighter. You can see the lighters flame move from the air in the line as the gas pushes the air out. Once it lights turn the fridge off then back on. Should stay on. Also you can gear the flame from the fridge once it lights up

Might be issue with spiders in the gas orifice. Seriously, there is a very small spider that likes propane. They get in the gas mechanism and the gas won’t light. Generally you can clean it with compressed air but you might need an orifice cleaner that you can get from a welding shop. Disassembled is fairly simple but do a Google search . There are several videos out there that show you how to do this. Good luck.

Lots of insects like the smell of propane...just like little flying crack heads on a mission for death!! Amazing how often that can happen and great advice.

Re: Frig ?
Thanks y'all for your responses. We took cover off and wow. Lots of bugs. Cleaned it out and as of now gas light not flashing. Just waiting to see if it gets cold.
Thank you again. I'm sure I'll be back soon. Lol!
