New member and Axis owner

Just took delivery of 25.4 and everything so far is as expected with one thing that seems odd. The driver side rear dual wheel well is not completely enclosed. When looking into the wheel well, the aft end of the black tank can be seen. It seems like mud ice or snow could build up in that space. My dealer says that is how the Axis is made, is he right? Thanks for any replies.

Congratulations on your new rig.

The waste tanks are installed under the floor and are exposed to the outside. Is there a mudflap behind the wheel? There should be a mudflap behind each of the rear wheels.

Welcome and congrats!
Yes, the wheel wells are not enclosed, just like on medium duty trucks. If your coach was delivered in the winter months, it would be smart to pressure wash as much of the underside as you can.

Tanks should be heated from factory or dealer installed
