Hi all. My wife and I just bought a new to us 2014 Citation SR w/ 40000 mi. Can't wait to see this great state we moved to and beyond. We have camped in everything but a Motor Home so a little bit of a learning curve, but hey, we'll figure it out. Thanks for adding me to the forum.Click image for larger version

The "standard plan" for the Boomers...work hard, succeed, save your money, retire, buy a motorhome, move to Florida, leave very little behind when you die. We're on the same path...in process this year of moving to our home in PCB!! Holler when come the Panhandle way!! Enjoy the new ride!!

Welcome! Glad to have you with us. A lot of good information and friendly people on this Forum. And yes, I got sand in my shoes back in 1976 and have loved every moment of living in Florida.

Thanks so much. We have friends in Pensacola. This'll make the trip from Sebastian a lot more enjoyable.

Welcome to the forum and welcome to Florida! Winterizing your RV is one thing you won't need to worry about as long as you stay in sunny Florida!

I have found Florida to have some pretty good state parks, like Myakka and Stephen Foster. If you're 65 or over the nightly rate is cut in half. Also don't forget north Florida has more springs per square mile than anywhere. Good luck on a water front at Bahia Honda. Hardest reservation to get in US.

Florida does have some great state parks. In the Florida Keys, John Pennycamp (mm102) In Key Largo and Bahia Honda (mm 37) are both beautiful. In the winter (and sometimes in the summer) you need reservations, but you can check availability and make a reservation on line. One note, the half price over 65 is only for Florida residents - you need a Florida Drivers license.
