Axis 24.1 water tank issue

Has anyone had problem of using city water hookup and noticing that the water tank somehow filled. I did leave water pump on for a short time when using the city connection

Try this: Disconnect city water and run the pump for a good 2-3 minutes (turn a faucet on or use the outside shower).

After that try the city water again. Sometimes debris gets stuck in the pump keeping the check valves open and sometimes the pump is just bad--the check valve that keeps water from going into the water tank is the pump.

Would running the pump when connected to city water have any effect on inadvertently filling the water tank?

Tried again hooking to city water and again it slowly fills the tank. I am thinking that it only fills as we use water. Over night it jas gone from 1/3 to 2/3 full. Guess I will just use tank the rest of the trip.

Are you using a pressure regulator on the city water line? I had this problem at one park and solved it by using the regulator. I think the valve can be overpowered by too much pressure letting a bit of water slip by.

We had ours overflow at the fill point of our onboard water supply while hooked to city water, we had a regulator inline too, just never got to inspecting for debris or something.
We kind of re-arranged our thoughts of using city water for human consumption, only washing and sewer use.

Oh, yes, welcome to the forum, that's the page you are on...lol

Great safety measure! That's all we do. Although I have no issues as outlined, I'll turn on the city water for showers then right back off again. We use the pump and tank for everything else. I'm also very cautious as to what water I allow in the tank. You'd be surprised if you tested the water at many CG's. Ask them sometime..."do you have current water test results for your well?".

We don’t drink or cook with campground water either. We bring bottled water from home and buy it on the road. We go through about a gallon of water per day.

We recently had that problem on our current trip and turning off city water and running the pump for an evening fixed the problem. I'm sure we could have managed by just running the pump for a few minutes but it was dark and cold outside and we were warm and comfortable inside [emoji1]
