New owner 2015 Vegas 25.1

Hey everyone,

New owner of a 2015 Thor Vegas 25.1. This is our first motorhome (other than when I was a kid). We have had lots of trailers.
Very happy with it so far. It has the second dinette in the rear which is really convenient for the kids hanging out and having room. My wife isn’t happy about the bad situation in the back though. I’m scouring this forum to see if anyone has modified theirs.
1 day trip to the beach so far and zero problems. Looking forward to a long, fun ownership.

Do you mean "bed situation" ?

What don't you like about it? How its setup? Not comfortable?

Now that its yours you can pretty much do anything. Some people have tore out that L bench and constructed something completely new. Others have tweaked it a little (although I don't think Thor sold many of that floorplan).

Welcome to the forum. There are many here that have done modifications to their motor homes that would be happy to share how they did them and how they are working out. Just ask a questions(with as much detail as possible) to help locate an answer.

Enjoy the new ride.

Paul

I like the look of no decals.
I assume that they were cracked and faded from the sun.

Not knowing what kind of shape the interior is in, & based on your complaints of the layout, I would consider remodeling the rear with a permanent queen or double bed.

Not sure of exact space available...You might be able to place the bed in such a way that you have full walk-around access.

Welcome to the Form

Thank you everyone!

Yes, the BED situation. Phones and autocorrect.

The interior is pristine. I had a mobile RV mechanic I know take a look at it before buying it and he said it was the cleanest RV he has ever worked on. The previous owner was very meticulous. He painted all of the wood white and made a more "homey" feel in there. We plan to remodel, just haven't decided how yet.

I have thought about ripping it all out and redoing the back with a permanent bed, but we really do like the second living area when useable. It appears in 2016 they changed the way the bed comes out and it is a little larger and nicer. My wife has health problems and needs a good mattress. The dimensions back there are technically 2" to short for even a full. I used to own a hotrod shop and have done construction in my day. I'm quite handy. We will be figuring out a solution soon. I have seen some on here and it has given me ideas.

The decals were removed by the previous owner because he just didn't like them. They were actually in good shape. We are looking into wrapping the whole RV though. Either with our company logo and theme or maybe a flat olive drab. We will see. Should be fun!!

Looks beautiful. We almost bought that same one but opted for the Class C Chateau V25. Same kitchen/dinette layout but with a King bed in the back. No jacknife bed so we can pull over on the side of the road and stretch my back and 6'5 body in the bed without touching the slide or anything. But I like that rig.

I can't help with the bed situation since we have a 24.1, but I just wanted to say I think the interior looks fantastic painted white!

Looks nice, I have a 25.2 2016. The back slide had been removed so I had a queen size bed built. Only issue is crawling over the other person to go to the bathroom.

Welcome to the forum. I have the same model and year. There were questions
as to how the bed should be set up. The cushions weren't right for it, so I called
Thor who told me my model used an air mattress and that I could get one from Walmart a lot cheaper than from them, and just as good. I got the full size air
mattress with electric air pump for $26.99. It fits perfectly and does not lose air.
DW is only 5'-2" and I am 5'-9" so plenty of room. We are only in it for a week
or two at the most at a time so far, and that has worked well for us. That may, or may not be an option for you but thought I would share it just in case.
