Super story! Thanks for sharing it and welcome to the crazy RV lifestyle. I absolutely love your attitude that fixing stuff is a learning opportunity. Certainly (absolutely, positively!) there will be more repairs and upgrades in your future. If you can take them in stride, doing most of the work yourself and enjoy learning how your machine works in the process you will be a happy camper and a successful owner. It’s a beautiful rig. Have fun!

So far so good. I recently replaced the taillight assemblies with LED ones which gave me the opportunity to see how the FS has held up for about 3 years. It looked as good as new...
Looks nice! Unfortunately I've already sealed it up with butyl tape. It looks like a very bad bathtub caulk job. LOL

A couple of months ago we were happily riding out the quarantine from Mexico. Then the wife decided she'd rather be quarantining/distancing from somewhere with nice trees, and that's how we ended up deciding to become RV'ers. Real ones this time, since living in a pop-up camper for seven months in 2011 feels very distant. Since that decision, we have gone from "let's just pay cash for a used truck/trailer" to buying a Class C/toad to buying a Class C and chase car w/ financing. Researched a lot of makes/models. Made an 'interesting' trip across Mexico in a rental, walked across the border, rented another car in McAllen, leased a Honda in Laredo, looked at RV's in San Antonio, then drove back to the D/FW area. Gave up on a cheaper consignment Itasca deal that was taking forever, finally loosened our budget a bit and will hopefully be driving off in our Four Winds 31L by Wednesday.

Wow, that took more words than I'd intended.

Hi.
Holy crap!! Sounds like your “all in” !!!!
