Welcome to the forum. Have fun in your travels. If you head north to Virginia, stop over at Colonial Williamsburg for a visit. A lot of history and fun. If you head east be prepared for winter weather(snow and cold).

Make sure that you are adequately winterized before leaving and don’t dewinterize until you reach reliable mid 20s+ overnight temps.

Driving at 65 will quickly freeze systems that won’t normally freeze while stationary due to wind chill.

Also make sure to start with full propane tanks because you will probably need to run the furnace while underway. If you are staying at FHU sites, plug in an electric heater or two. With two, be sure to plug them in to opposite sides of your coach to keep them from blowing the 15A breaker.

Inanimate objects don't experience "wind chill".

Exposed piping and water will freeze faster in a windy environment than a calm environment due to convection heat transfer (moving fluid flow, air is a fluid). With no wind you only have radiant heat transfer.

No, you are correct, but that term is understood by most to mean that inanimate objects will cool down faster the stronger the wind velocity.

Another less understood principle is that air at 33 degrees will not freeze water no matter how fast the air is moving.

Congratulations on your new rig, adventures ahead and especially on your retirement!

Looking at the weather for Indiana this week you may want to consider leaving today

Be safe, stay warm and have fun!
