New to RV life

Hello everyone,

I just purchased a 2016 Thor Vegas 24.1. I have tons of questions but let’s start with a few at first-lol.

What are the steps for running water/ taking a shower when I’m dry camping( no water connection)? I stop at a truck stop last night, turned on my generator , water pump tank heaters( black&grey water). No pressure in shower( slow single line water coming out of shower head?

Thanks

You must have water in the fresh water tank to begin with If your battery(s) are charged up you do not need to run the generator. You also do not need to run the tank heaters just the water heater and you should find out what kind of water heater you have tank or tankless. Make sure the propane is also on and the pump is switched on and primed and make sure you have water in the fresh water tank to prime the pump. Run water in the sink until it stops spitting air and when the water is running freely shut off the tap and the pump should also shut off. If you did not sanitize the fresh water system I would not drink or brush your teeth with the water from the fresh water tank.
There are many Thor videos on youtube to watch and read all of the manuals that relate to your model. There is a lot to learn and challenging sometimes but hang in there and welcome to this forum which is one of the best for RV`ers with Thor products

If you're switching from city water to tank water you will probably need to switch at least one valve

Although I don't know your plumbing at all

It is probably winterized. The Internet will lead you through the steps to de-winterize the coach.
