"We" (Me, my wife and 5 kids) just purchased a 2018 Freedom Elite 30fe just before Christmas. we are an avid camping and traveling family. started in tents, then moved to tent trailer and now this. So we have lots to learn.
Since we purchased just before Christmas we have not had time to take it out anywhere yet. we were planning on going a little south from us for a long weekend trip to try it out. (just far enough to get out of the snow) However, we got nervous about it getting too cold during the evenings for the water lines, holding tanks etc. and didnt go.
Does anyone have info/ thoughts if we would be ok with the plumbing if the overnight temp drops to 30 degrees or a little lower?
The plan would be to drive there. de-winterize, then re-winterize before driving back home.

I don't have much useful information about what to do in the colder weather.
But if you don't fill the freshwater tank, keep the heater running, and make sure to get the water out of any of the places where it'll want to collect: you'll be WAYYYYyyyyy... ahead of a lot of us!

The fresh water tank is under the master bed with a heater hose right next to it. And the grey water is under the Shower with another heater hose and heater just on the other side of the wall so at 30 you shouldn’t freeze. That being said if you are just going over night and in a camp ground that has the facilities open I wouldn’t do all the work just for one night. I would just use the campground bathrooms

Thats good information. I wasnt positive about the one in the bathroom.
maybe it would be best to just "dry" camp and use the parks facilities until we can get to a warmer palce.

I also wouldn't worry about it. I use my rig all winter winterized we just drink bottled water cook with bottled water and wash your hands with bottled water and sanitizer we do use the bathroom all the time but we flush with antifreeze that we leave a gallon in the shower area instead of water and just dump the black tank during the winter. That way you never have to re winterize until the next season.

Yeah the grey water tank would be the one that is the least of my worries. I think it was already said but just use bottle water and at night if you have to use the bathroom it’s not going to hurt anything to use it. You can always dump it and just put in more antifreeze
