New Vegas Owners

Hello!
My husband and I purchased our first RV in September 2017, a Vegas 25.2.
Delighted to be members of this forum!

We have really enjoyed our Vegas 25.2 for three years. For us, at this time, it is the right fit, not too big, not too small.

Did they tell you there is pass-through storage between the two front compartments? Surprising how many 25.2 owners I have met that weren't aware of that. Great for a ladder, broom or fishing rods. You can store a few things under the jackknife sofa. We keep the ladder for the front bunk under there, on top of the fresh water tank.

While you are under there, check the water filter attached to the water pump. The screw off part there might have plastic bits. You'll find these tips, and more, by searching for 25.2 here on the forum.

What Mr Sunshine said! I've been full-timing it in my 25.2 since last April. It is a fun, easy to drive RV. Make sure to get the front end aligned after you get it loaded with your stuff.

We are waiting for our 2018 Vegus 25.2 to be made. It is supposed to be off line on 1/22/2018. It is -3 degrees here in South Dakota with a wind chill of-20 something. Getting cabin fever and dreaming of somewhere warm. We are new to RVing and have not camped 20-30 years. It sounds like I will have a lot to learn and fix and repair before we can embark on any adventures.

You have to tell us...
Is it true that "what happens in the Vegas: stays in the Vegas."?

Welcome to the forum! I've been to SoDak in the winter, and don't miss the cold and wind. Someone said we don't really by a RV, we buy a RV kit! Some of the things others have done will be useful for you, and some won't. Do plan on getting an alignment asap, loaded as you would for travel. You'll have to find a place equipped to align light trucks.

Temps in our part of central Florida tonight are forecast to be 30* for 4 hours, colder as you go further north. A little taste of winter for the snowbirds around here, just so they don't forget.

We are waiting for our new Vegus 25.2 and getting anxious. So what is the very first upgrade I should plan on before we ever leave the drive way or can we use it as it comes from the factory.

It should be ok right from the factory as long as you have the essential accessories like a water hose, leveling blocks and a sewer hose. As you gain practice with it you’ll figure out what you need to make it work for you. Plan on making any number of small repairs to correct sloppy assembly but by all means don’t forget to have fun!

Get the Oxygenic Shower Head. It's easy to swap and worth it's weight in gold. As you can see from my signature, there are lots of things to upgrade :-)

Not an upgrade but be sure to get an alignment.

First upgrade? As was noted, an alignment (loaded like you would for travel) is very important.

Next you might want a ladder. We have a collapsible 12' aluminum ladder (about $70 from Amazon), since the 25.2 has no rear ladder. I store it in the pass through between the front storage bays. With it, I can reach the top of the windshield and get on the roof if necessary.

Modification possibilities are endless. Dig around this site and see what others have done. I've done several things to enhance our Vegas experience, but you may or may not find those things worthwhile.

Welcome to the forum. I've had my 2016 25.2 for 2 years and we've had some great adventures! The best upgrade so far has been the Safe-T-Plus steering control. The coach drives like a dream once that it installed. Safe travels.

Welcome

We are newbies also - looking forward to shakedown cruise. In a matter of a few days I have already learned a ton - keep posting, searching and asking.

Be safe and enjoy the ride!
