Long time lurker, now finally owner
Greetings to all!
I'm David Dirnberger and along with my DW Lynn we are the new owners of a 2019 Thor Axis 25.6. We just purchased it from a lovely couple in NC (members of this forum) who unfortunately could not enjoy it anymore.
I have been lurking in this forum for many, many years and have learned so much from so many people that I cannot thank this community enough for giving me the courage to finally pull the trigger. The courage came in the form of deep knowledge to walk into this major purchase with my eyes wide open and prepared for what challenges might lie ahead so I could deal with the bumps in the road and really enjoy the RV lifestyle.
As new retirees, we are looking forward to many new adventures and meeting new people as we explore the country in "Otto" (what we have christened the MH, short for Otto Von Bismarck).
Alas, we are already running into challenges with the dreaded Schwintek slide, but, more on that in another post.
Thanks to all again... here's hoping I can start paying back soon!

Welcome and congrats on new to you MH. The slide can be a challenge from time to time. Best I have for you when extending the slide hold the button until slide is fully extended, count 5 seconds then let go of the button. Reverse for retraction.

We also have a 2019 25.6 and absolutely love it! The slide can be a bit stubborn at times but I have found it seems to work more easily with the app than the panel. Cheers to many great adventures in you new home on wheels!
