New Thor Owner
Hi
After a lot of shopping I bought a new 2018 Thor 33.1 during the summer. It is here now down in FL. There is a lot to love about this vehicle but the Axxera AVM111NAV is not one of them. I wonder if replacement units like the Pioneer 8200 that have two video inputs can handle the Thor with 3 cameras (rear plus both mirrors)? Although I have installed radios in the past I would most likely farm this job out to a pro. Any other suggestions for a replacement unit?

Welcome Sharpgtr,
Our ACE also came with the Axxera radio. We haven’t had it very long and still learning how to use the radio. I am interested in what your final choice is.

The Axerra radio only has a single RCA input. The three cameras go though a switchbox before going to the radio.

I also have a axxera radio # av614bh. it quit working in two years. the warranty sucks. thor uses #csw3014 switch box for the cameras. it is compatible with any receiver that has backup capability with rca cable. its made by asa electronics witch is also Jensen. pioneer, kenwood, and jensen and more make compatible double din radios that will work depending on what you want to spend.

Sharpgtr, did you end up replacing your AVM111? I'm interested in what you ended up with.
Chopshop, did you replace yours? They seem easy enough to replace as a DIY but I am also concerned about the cameras working (will be nice if the audio doesn't also cut out when I use turn signals). Is the switch box junk too? I'd rather do it all in one shot.
