Hello I was looking for some fellow Four winds or Chateau owners since they seem to be one in the same. I just put a deposit down on a 2022 Four winds 31B yesterday. I am quite nervous as this is the largest purchase I have made. I have always had travel trailers. I just finished cancer treatments last fall. I am dying to get out and travel a little but finding a place to stay after Covid has been daunting. I am hoping finding a campground will be a little easier.
Any advice anyone wants to give is appreciated.
Thanks
Welcome to the forum! Hope you're battle with cancer goes well.
It will be challenging finding camping spots due to the increase of MH ownership. Be patient and be willing to book out several months in advance.
Enjoy the adventure!

Welcome to the forum. There are many family owned as well as KOA camp grounds out there to explore. Just map out where you plan to travel and pull out the old maps to locate places to visit. There are a lot more r v's out there now so be patient.
Hope you have a great delivery and fun times with the rig
Mine is older and a different plan, but the same size rig.
the one thing that comes to mind to suggest
really watch your loading on that rear axle. Baby those tires. These big econoline rigs maybe >28 ft or so, are heavy. Rear tires are close to their limit as delivered.
so keep an eagle eye on your tire pressures and don't run them low. On my rig I run the steer axle a bit lower at 70psi based on loading and the rig handles much better, but based on loading I run the rears at full pressure 80psi
I have always tried to do this but my tires had been sitting on the lot for
along time before I bought it and they were cracking pretty bad form sun exposure......learned 1st hand with a blow out so learn from misfortune.
Anyway, I suggest running them all full till you get the rig weighed
I have a 2020 Four Winds 31y.
Year and a half now.
Travel trailers before that.
Bought used with 1000 miles on it.
We've put on another 13,000.
Very fun and enjoy all of the features.
Stay on top of every little issue, and in no time you'll have a rig that is bullet proof.
If you let me know what area of the country I might be able to help with campsites.
We've been exploring the southeast for 30 years.
