This is our second motorhome but it has been almost 20 years since our last (94 Itasca 25' class A). In between we tried the yacht thing for a half dozen years (96 Trojan 440 Express). You will never complain about a rolling house maintenance again after a floating house. hahaa
Can't wait to get back to traveling and seeing everything there is to see out there. I am retiring at the end of the week but the wife has three more years so we will be taking a lot of short trips these first few years. I am sure I will have a ton of questions, so a big thank you in advance to all those that answer.

Spray water on it from above with someone inside looking for drips, water bubbles, etc.

We have a sister Quantum - the PD31 purchased new in 2017. We love it. The first year was a challenge with several warranty issues - but Thor stepped up to the plate and took care of everything. We had an issue after the original warranty had expired, and Thor could have legally dodged responsibility. However, they said it was a manufacturing error and they would work directly with the dealer and cover all costs. And they did. We live in Arizona, so having one AC in that size unit was a stretch when the temps hit the 85+ range. A few weeks ago, we had a second AC installed over the rear bedroom - a 13,500 btu - and we had the coach reworked to a 50 amp unit. Amazing. When we are in a campground with only 30 amps, our unit works like it always has with one AC. But with 50 amp, we run both ACs together - this has made this unit absolutely perfect! We love the high quality cabinets and interior upgrades with the Quantum. We think you will love yours too.

Thanks. We think we will love ours too. We have the dual A/C units. It is only 30amp though so they cycle between each other (I least that is how I believe it works as I can't see it working off just 30a). Have you added a solar panel or replaced the coach batteries yet? I am considering getting two 4d 250a/h batteries and a 200w solar panel so I can let the refrigerator run 24/7 rather than having it cool from scratch all the time.
Can't wait for Saturday to pick it up (fingers crossed they have fixed my list of stuff). We live in southern AZ ourselves in Marana so our first trip will be to the white mountains to escape the heat.

We replaced the house batteries with good quality Interstate. We will replace batteries routinely after three years - cheap insurance. Drive vehicles too. Have not considered solar. We live in Peoria, so not far away. Currently in Durango, Colorado, where it is on average 30 degrees cooler each day.

It has definitely been hot here these last few weeks. Would not mind being there myself. I retired last week but the wife still has a little over 4 to go at the VA. Then we will leave and become reverse snow birds. Haha. Leave Memorial weekend and come back Labor Day weekend.

Sounds like a plan. We spent our working years in New York and retired out of Chicago. Had enough snow and cold to last a lifetime.l Good luck with your plans.
