new (to us) 2015 Thor HUrricane 34J

we bought our 34J about a year ago and have been using it ever since. Upgraded from a 1993 Fleetwood Bounder, and we are loving everything about he Thor. Well almost everything. few things here and there are starting to bother me. but overall we love it.

I am curious - does anyone else have the issue of the door not opening all the way due to the placement / mounting of the awning arm? my door doesnt open all the way cause of this, and its driving me nuts.

I have a 2016 34J and my RV door has a gas strut that only lets it open 90 degrees. My awning supports are built into the awing. I had a 2004 Fleetwood Jamboree GT 31W that had the door right next to the front awning support so my door only would open 90 degrees. I guess I am used to it. You could remove the gas strut. Just have to be careful that the wind doesn't catch the door and slam it against the coach. I like our 34J just wish I could use it more. Wife and I are way off from retiring.
