New Vegas 24.1

My wife and I picked up our new 2020 Vegas 24.1 in Tennessee 2 weeks ago and we are thrilled with it. We sold our 29 ft Outback TT in 2010 as the kids were getting too big and busy for camping. Now that they are on their own for the most part, we are going to do some trips for the 2 of us and the 24.1 is just the right size.

We have taken it for 2 short shake out trips and honestly, we have found very little wrong with it. I have noticed the front passenger speaker doesn’t work, but otherwise all the systems check out clean. I was able to figure out the quirky water heater after reading some posts here so thanks!

We’ve made a couple small mods so far. My wife loves here coffee so because we have limited counter space, we turned the closet into a coffee station. I had to put a power outlet in there to keeps extension cords from running everywhere.

I put Amazon Fire sticks on all the TVs. They work great with the Winegard.

Overall happy so far and looking forward to many fun adventures ahead.

Jeff & Wendy

Congratulations and welcome.

If you haven't already download and read Ed's excellent crowd sourced Axis/Vegas owner's manual found here:
https://www.thorforums.com/forums/f1...nual-4961.html

Since your unit is "just" a 2020 I presume you still have a V-10 and not the new V-8?

Welcome

Welcome to the Forum and the 24.1 club. Hope it meets all your expectations. We love ours and hope to one day sell our ranch and buy the top of a mountain somewhere as a home base and travel most of the time. Am looking forward to seeing your closet modification.

That's pretty nice.

Nice mod. Wondering about the white exterior of the cabinet. Does the 2020 come in that color or did you paint. Did you paint any other cabinets? If so pics would be nice if you can.

Hi Projectman
My wife did an Instagram tour here -

https://www.instagram.com/s/aGlnaGxp...00471589134145

The cabinets are really hard to get right. We sanded, primed, and painted but it just doesn’t finish well so we are getting some new raw fronts to do correctly. The white walls that you see in the coffee center are Stikwood. They are reclaimed planks that stick on. They are very easy to install and very thin and lightweight. We used it on the inside of the slide as well as a few other places.

Sometimes I feel a bit uneasy about doing a remodel of a brand new coach but “happy wife happy life” comes into play. [emoji6]

I wouldn’t feel bad at all. Your rig is beautiful and your wife has great decorator style. Tour is great but we could not get sound. We just picked up our used 2017 and it has all the extra mods that we need but in time would love to do a similar paint upgrade. Thanks for the show and tell. Please post again.
