New Vegas owner

Hello all, we just purchased a 2018 Thor Vegas 24.1 RV last week. We downgraded from a 33 foot hurricane RV. The hurricane was just much too big for our needs and it was also a bear to drive. We love the New Vegas coach and we look forward to many years of fun.

I think of it as an upgrade. easier to drive, park and enjoy more often. I find we use it more often because of its ease and less maintenance. Enjoy

Invest in a Magneshade for that big windshield. You will enjoy your camping much more without so much heat coming through all that glass. Enjoy it!

Welcome, Yep... the Axis/Vegas hits the sweet spot.... not too big... not to small.... and so darn cute looking (Kinda like Bob )

I use mine every week when its nice out..... We will take for a few hour or all day picnics.

I take it to the Mtn bike trail heads and my wife will read in the RV with the AC on... then we each lunch.

We will take it shoping sometimes (to exercise the RV and Genny) as long as they have a decent parking lot. Or if she is going to the Mall (and I dont want to hang around the house) I will wait in the RV tinkering with it.

Congratulations and welcome.

If you haven't already download and read Ed's excellent crowd sourced owner's manual for Axis/Vegas units:

I agree, it is an upgrade. I meant to say downsize lol. We love the driveability and smoothness of it. The Hurricane beat us to death while driving on roads with very little bumps along with just being so darn long. The size of the Vegas is perfect and fits out needs better.

Mandatory reading for a 24.1 owner.

http://www.thorforums.com/forums/f27...-3-go-820.html

When you vet the suspension and tire pressures sorted out it'll seem like a slot car compared to your last rv.

Please know that the black tank outlet swivels if you put 20lbs or so of torque on it... You don't really use it at the stupid angle it may be at right now.

And insulate that battery box. You'll drop decibels by the most of any other mod you do for noise.
