Newbie

Hello, new member here! First time RV owner at 58 years old. Purchased a very nice 2000 Damon Challenger 31,000 miles P32 chassis with a 7.4 Vortec. First trip out the drivers side from caliper locked up and got hot enough to catch fire! $1400 later second trip went a little better. The handling is a little scary in the wind and truck traffic. Now trying to decide the best way to reasonably upgrade.

Yikes! What a horrible first experience. Bu it sounds like you are still enjoying your RV. Welcome aboard. I updated my rear anti-sway bar and got a marked improvement in handling, especially in the wind. Another idea is the Safety-Plus. Make sure to wave if you see me.

Congratulations on your new coach!!! Personally I like the Workhorse chassis, wish GM hadn't quit making them. Ask questions, bet someone will be able to answer. Welcome to the forum!

There was a recall on Workhorse chassis brakes. Check to see if yours done.

Yeah, I saw that on their website. I typed in my VIN and it came back as not affected. So I guess it's all on me. Thanks for the tip though.
