our "new" 2018 Vegas 24.1

we just purchased our Vegas 24.1, and are on our first trip of 1,500 miles. this is a well cared for coach. PO installed Sumo Springs F&R, Safe-T-Plus, Helwig rear sway bar, and a 2,000 watt sine-wave inverter.

I have a number of items to work through, and looking forward to it. I just weighed in at 11,400 with 6,900 on rear axle - with empty water tanks (all 3) and fuel 1/2 full. Does that sound about right?

Dave

It's perfect if that's what it weighs.
Chasing weights and tire pressure is is a hobby for some here.
There's a tag at your driver's left elbow. It has some weights on it.

I can almost guess which members rv yours was prior.

Someone else will come along and post links helpful to you for a group devised operators manual.

The crowd sourced Axis/Vegas owner's manual is a sticky in the Thor Tech Forums -> Motorhom Tech Topics forum.

Someone recently uploaded the manual in a two part pdf, here is that upload:

Congratulations and welcome to the site.

Welcome to the forum! Lots of great info in that excellent crowd-sourced Vegas/Axis manual from Ed Felker.

Just don't get too caught up in some of the issues discussed in there that applied more to the first couple of model years. Some have said we all bought an RV kit. Yours came with some great suspension modifications. Congratulations!

Thanks for your message. We’re thoroughly enjoying our 24.1 - it suits us very well.

Yes the quality control should be better; however, I’ve already taken care of a number of those issues, and will continue to do so. It drives very well, tracks straight and steady. We’re getting 11+ mpg through varied terrain, using 87 octane fuel.

I’ve used Dynamat and Underwood to considerably resuse noise in the cab. Iive been a dressing potential problems as I see them. I have a good punch list of items yet to be addressed - those will wait till we are back home later this week

Welcome aboard from NW Indiana. Those of us from the Hoosier state are at an advantage if we need a trip for factory service in Wakarusa. Hopefully that won’t be necessary for you.
Happy Travels
