hello everyone
my wife and i just put down a deposit on a majestic 19g coming off of rental with cruise america. before we finalize deal on saturday i wanted to reach out to anyone with any thoughts on the vehicle and the buying process from cruise america.
thinking about adding a larger battery array and maybe solar in the future. any thoughts here would be appreciated. anyone else done any mods to this unit that worked out well? if so would love to hear about them.
thanks in advance, bing

Welcome to the forum!
Sorry, I have no experience with Cr Am or with the Majestic 19g, buuut my first RV was a similar rig a long, long time ago. It was a 21' Class C on a Dodge chassis with an unknown history. It was cozy for the two adults and two young kids, but it was cheap and we had a lot of fun with it.
The modifications you mentioned, and much more, are well discussed on this and other forums, for various coaches. Same process, regardless of specific rigs. Try a search, and you will be entertained for hours!

shower floor repair
hey all... our new (to us) majestic 19g has a small ding in the shower floor. i was going to put some silicone caulk in there to seal it up. is that an appropriate repair material or would anyone suggest another type of sealant?

How big of a "ding"?
Can you post a picture of it?

Try fiberglass repair kit most of these tub showers you can get to the under side much stronger than silicone

thanks thomas m... i'm not too concerned about the structural integrity as it seems pretty solid around the ding. it seems that the top skin is broken but still solid underneath. i'm more concerned about the waterproofness and preventing any damage from water seeping through over time.

Anything is better than nothing...water will seep in there. The fiberglass fix is good advice. One of the things on my "get ready" / "break down" list before travel is "empty shower shelves". A bottle of shampoo or a bar of soap can crack the floor.

I had a crack in my shower floor years ago that I fixed with Eternabond tape. Cleaned the area good by removing all the soap scum, rounded the corners on the tape and it is probably good to this day. I cut a few more strips and placed them around the shower floor for non-slip which worked out good also. Wife really like the non-slip floor.

mcr1010.... thanks for suggestion. i'm not familiar with that product, i'll check it out. it's funny, i used a small piece of gorilla tape as temporary repair during last trip. when i pulled it up to take picture i was amazed at it's tenacity.

I'm sure it was....and regarding gorilla tape...keep a roll handy. You can fix anything with it.

Eternabond is tape is used mostly for roof repair, but it works good to in tubs and showers. A little pricey, but like it's name implies Eternity-bond.
