overhead bunk

first time to post. Have been reading for years. Lots of good information and some bs. But overall good stuff. Bough new 2018 thor windsport 34P , Had all the problems of buying new lol spent more time at dealer first year but made it threw that. my problem is the overhead bunk driverside goes all the way up and put both pins in then vibrations from driving the drivers side comes down about an inch and rest on the safety pins. the other side stays up tight. Has anyone had this happen. Can not find anything in the search. Also Hi to everyone Smitty 55

I've read that you should let the bunk down a little after taking it up to the stop position, so I wouldn't worry too much about that - just make sure the pins are fully inserted.

I get that from time to time on bumpy roads.
But for me it’s the right/passenger side.

So, as discussed on this site many times…
- you need to re-synch
- go all the way down until it stops , then all the way up until it stops
- do it a couple of times
- but finish all the way up until it stops

Some people push it all the way up, insert the pins, then drop it down enough to rest on the pins. Mine vibrates down on the pins as I drive. Hasn't been a problem so far.

I put my bed all the way up, install the pins; then run the bed down in short blips until the pins are locked in position. You have to run the bed all the way up to resinc the motors before removing the pins and running it all the way down for use.

I was told to raise bunk as high to insert pins, then drop down until bunk rests on the pins.
Ready to use, raise bunk off pins, remove pins and lower.
