Cool P/U !st motorhome Freedom Elite 24FE thursday!

Howdy from San Angelo Texas,

David here, my wife and I are both excited and a little scared too!

As I said in header, were picking up our first motor-home this Thursday 9/19/2019.

Were getting the Freedom Elite 24FE is built on a Mercedes chassis and has a large single slide involving the dinning area and bedroom in the back.

This is the 2nd biggest purchase we made aside from homes we have lived in.

I have been looking the Thor Forums site over for hints and what to do's for a few hours and would love to get y'all input.

We can hardly wait to go on trips and all with our new rolling home.

Welcome to the RV life and safe travels. I had to reread your topic heading as at first I thought you were complaining about a stinky MH.

Welcome to the forum. If you have any questions just ask and some one will have an answer or two for you. I too have a mh built on the Mercedes chassis. This is my second mh built on a Mercedes chassis. There are some easy mods that you can do to make the ride smoother. There are some things you need to do in the beginning that will save you like filling all of you tanks (propane, grey/black and fresh water), put all of the things you plan on keeping inside it and take it down to an alignment shop before going out on the road. Get it re-aligned once you have everything loaded. It will save the front tires from early wear. It comes from the factory aligned with an empty coach and things change once you load it up. An alignment will run between $150-$200. I learned that the hard way and it cost me two new tires and an alignment on my first Mercedes chassis mh.

Hope you are out enjoying that new rig.
We love that floor plan and have the same one on a E450 chassis.
