Propane Grill Supply

I have a 2018 THOR ACE 30.4. I would like to use the RV propane supply for my Cuisinart Propane Grill. What do I need to do? I would like to use a quick connect. What type of hose connection do I need?

Thanks,

Dan

The best source for all these parts is your local LP bulk facility. They can make most anything for you with all quick disconnect fittings. I had a 10' hose made for mine so I don't melt the paint on the coach trying to cook a hotdog.

Additionally, you do need to remove the regulator from your grill as the LP outlet under your coach has already been "regulated" from the onboard tank.

Try propanegear.com. I bought the hose from them for my Weber. Shipping was very fast. They also have instructions on the install.

Correct, you only need one regulated and the coach line is already stepped down. Went round and round with CW on this issue several years back and they kept putting a regulator in line until I explained the them what they were doing-basically cutting almost all the gas off.

On the new coach we will need to add a quick connect in the gas line, as I can't find it if there is one, so, I will have to tap the mail nine.

Size and type

Does anyone know the size (1/4, 1/2 or 3/4) and type (Male or Female) of connector is in the Thor 2018 Outlaw ?

I would assume once the regulator is removed on the existing hose and a quick connector or "Y Adapter" is inserted into the RV you would be able to simply plug it into the connector and gas would flow to the device you are connecting it to?

I've had very little luck with the owners manual.

Thanks

The Owner's Manual is for nothing but supplying you with a padded surface for writing checks. Yes, it's almost a plug and play with the quick disconnects. Any camper store should be able to help you but a local LP bulk supplier can also make anything you want. Not sure the size of the fittings but Thor should be able to furnish you with schematics of the gas lines and this should include the size of fittings.

Working on my rig this weekend. I was wondering why not just add a T connector at back of Hot Water Heater and tap in there? I would then just need a T and 3 ft disconnect hose. Will this work?
