Realistic MPG
Hi All,
What can I realistically expect regards average MPG on a 2018 Vegas 24.1?

My 2014 Windsport 34f (35.10 footer) get 6.1 MPG. I just love that .1. My friend has a 2018 Vegas and I believe he told me that he gets 9 MPG, but he drives 70 MPH, I do not.

Mostly 10+mpg
Sometimes 11-12mpg
Even when i pull my Toad, i generally get 10mpg
When I do get less than 10mpg, it's because of a headwind or going up a long grade
But that evens out when you go back downhill or with the wind
All of that said, i roll along gently at 60 (65mph max)
my calculations are based on the rudimentary method...
miles / gallons = mpg

I get 9 to 11 MPG depending on speed/terrain. When towing 5,500 lb open trailer with drag car is same. This is running 60 to 70 MPH.
I have seen under 9 when running hard with/without trailer. This was cruising over 75 MPH. Wife limits to 70 MPH because I cannot hear her beyond that (smile).
Am impressed that keeping up with traffic and merginng is no issue at all with/without trailer. A lower numeric gear would probably help MPG but at detriment of performance.

My Axis (E450 chassis - 25.4 floor plan = 27 foot long) I avg around 9mpg at 70 - 75 MPH on the interstate.
Some say they will get around 10 -11 mpg around 65 - 67 mph avg. Others will say more (perhaps since the 24.1 is a little smaller/lighter you will see 10 - 12 mpg?).
Figure about 1 (or 2) mpg LESS if your towing.

Is it "Miles Per Gallon", or "Gallons Per Mile" ?
My Class C 30FE (32 feet, Ford V10 engine, E450 chassis) gets between 8.5 and 9.25 towing a 4200# SUV on a dolly. Haven't run without the toad enough to figure what it gets unhitched.

It's supposed to be: "Smiles per Gallon".

A search of “MPG” in title will show various threads on this subject, giving you more data points and opinions. Biggest change was that earlier Axis/Vegas had a 5-speed auto, and newer ones a 6-speed. A 2018 will be a newer 6-speed.

Don't know about a 2118 24.1 but my 2115 24.1 averages 11 MPG when cruising at 55-60 MPH. Don't see a need to go any faster, unless it is an emergency, because I'm retired and really ain't in a hurry to get some place.
Oops! Forgot ice cream run is classified as a DIRE emergency.

And 87 octane gasoline is $2.12 per gallon but ULSD is $2.89 per gallon.

Diesel is more money for fuel but the torque and power sure makes up for the little difference. Crap my Roadster takes premium which is about the same. I don’t even know i’m Towing. I had a shorter trip without the toad and averaged 17. Tires at suggested 60. Hwy speed never more than 62 unless to pass. Used 2.5 gallons of def on that trip. What $6 I think.

I've been a little conflicted on tire pressure. Tires say 90psi door jam say 60psi. I went w/80psi. No problems after 21000 mi.

2016 24.1 Axis MPG
Our first long trip to Idaho we got a hair over 9. Our second trip, doing a bit of generator running through Las Vegas and a bit slower, we got just over 10 to Idaho.

This is outside scope of OP question regarding an Axis or Vegas, but what's different about your Sprinter or the way you drive it that it gets much lower MPGs than most other Sprinters? Many Sprinter Class C owners often report around 15~17 MPG. Just curious if it's larger, or what? At 63 MPH shouldn't you be getting much better fuel economy?

It depends mostly on the dance that your right foot does with the "loud pedal"...

I'm glad someone pointed this out: entirely too many answers that had nothing to do with the original question.
