Safeco is not licensed in all states and only receives a rating of 2.9 out of 5 on Wallet Hub. Low rating is due to high price and poor customer service. The only positive listed was the high number of agents and brokers selling policies.

Safeco’s parent company, Liberty Mutual rates as one of the worst companies in America.

Less than 10 minutes of research tells me to stay as far away as possible.

BTW, they are headquartered out of Boston.

In your original post you mentioned the root issue being problems in the make and model of the MH to be "incomplete". I would guess this has something to do with the year model of the incomplete chassis versus the year model of the "completed vehicle". Often the year model of a bare chassis may be "2012" but it doesn't get built into a motorhome until "2013", at which time the RV builder will tag it as a "2013 model" and its considered at that time to be a "completed vehicle". Very common issue with licensing and getting tags and insurance. Research the VIN manufactured year versus the same VIN as a completed motorhome.

Safeco is part of the Liberty Mutual Group; but they operate as separate and distinct companies.
I've worked with them since 1981, and they are not NEARLY what you have said they are.

I am only stating what the research says and that research is availed for anyone to view with a simple search on Safeco Insurance.

As a note, there are many firms that operate under the umbrella of Thor Industries and many more that did and no longer exist. Being “supposedly” separate and distinct isn’t always the way it is stated or appears.

Same here as another post..subaru was listed wrong

We have GEICO. The only issue we had was they got the year, make and VIN wrong, twice. Once we got that issue straightened out, it was clear sailing.

Having sold their policies for 40 years, and also been a customer of theirs for the same 40: you know nothing about the Company.
Their rates here in New York are never lowest, nor the highest. Their handling of claims that I have had; have always been fair and prompt.
You can find anything to justify any opinion you have. Just look around on the internet.

I’ve been with them almost 3 years and have never had an issue! And their rates are at least as competitive or cheaper than most!
My renewals had minor increases compared to both Gieco & Progressive which increase by hundreds!!

That is a conscious effort on their part to take smaller, incremental raises each year: rather than take big jumps every couple of years...

First time we got the policy, it was listed as a 2012 (2015) 28G (28Z).

Called. They got the year right but not the model and on top of that, the VIN was one off. Another call got that fixed.

Nice thing is that with each correction, the premium dropped.
