In Carlsbad myself, sorry to hear you have to use Holland RV. Pushy sales (wo)man and they won't even work on RV warranty work unless you bought the RV there. Will never step foot in that place again.

If Holland RV can't handle it, call Thor and complain about them, then ask if you can go to an independent and get reimbursed. I did just that since Holland wouldn't take me and La Mesa was 3 months out and I had a broken board in water heater on a 7 day old rv.

Hi Claudia, welcome to the page. If you are new to RV's this wont be your only disappointment. lol, They are not buy and use and not repair or fix. Best thing to do is if you cant or dont want to do your own stuff find an independent or a friend to do some repairs. Keep up with the site and you can stay ahead of problems that may arise. Using a dealer to fix everything will mean you wont have your rv and they will have it all the time.

Welcome!

Ouch! We all feel your pain. Unfortunately, RV's aren't built like autos, and new ones usually have a few issues. Do call Thor and talk with their warranty people. Did the dealer do a Pre-Delivery Inspection with you?

As to the radio, it won't work if the Use/Store button is flipped to off. Wish your other problems were that easy!

Strongly suggest you access Ed Felker's excellent crowd-sourced manual for Vegas/Axis:

My Gramma Denman had a great way of looking at situations like this:
"If life hands you a lemon: you can either pucker-up; or make lemonade!"
While it's not fun when problems occur: you can get a great deal of satisfaction out of how you deal with them.
And the good folks in here are always happy to help!

Unfortunately it’s just all part of owning an RV. It would be nice if they were all perfect but that’s just not the way it is. I feel your frustration we had a water leak in our bunk that caused mold and took over a year to get fixed. Keeping my fingers crossed that it really is now so I know how f up it is when you are paying on something and can’t enjoy it. The more complex RVs become the more problems they will have, a simple tent trailer doesn’t have much that can go wrong but once you start adding all the lasteat updates there just gets to be too many variables. Learn to fix what you can and feel comfortable fixing otherwise find a good mechanic that can work on things and limit the dealership hostage routine.
