Jackknife couch uncomfortable.

We have a Four Winds 26A which so far we love. Biggest problem was the dinette and couch are very uncomfortable for any sitting of more than a few minutes. Knowing we are heading south for a few months this winter we wanted a solution.

I took the dinette cushions to our local foam cushion company and they took out the factory foam and installed a more dense material that is fabulous! Spent $300 but worth every penny.

Then came the couch. It was like sitting on a cement block! I did some searching on the Internet and found a company in Elkhart that represents Flexsteal. We bought an "easy bed" which is pretty much an overstuffed couch/bed. I installed it today in a couple hours and am so pleased with the look and feel.

So, if you are not happy with the factory seating there is a solution!

Now we're ready to head south.

The jackknife sofa is the only real complaint I have with our motorhome. The wife doesn't want me to replace it (she is afraid if I do, I won't want to upgrade the motorhome to something else).

So for now, we bought an outdoor recliner cushion that fits on the sofa, and that has helped a lot.

I understand. I also considered that but I think the upgrade can be an advantage when selling. No I won't get all my money back but it will help in a sale or trade I think. In the mean time I'll be comfortable!
