Texas newbies

We are just getting our Big Bertha (2019 37ft Thor Challenger) ready for her first trip.

Any pointers?

The first trip will be the most educational of all future trips. Carry the basics...food, water, clothing, cocktails, a few pots and pans, paper plates, plastic ware, folding chairs and campfire stuff. Carry a notepad...it will be full of great ideas on your return. Enjoy the breathtaking experience of just being in it!! Just like that feeling when you first stepped up those stairs.

I made a check list of things to do in specific order for set up and take down when I first got my unit, since it was new to me.

Welcome
Take a notebook to write down the things that need to be fixed by the dealer. Sometimes they are small items and other times they are big items. Try out every system to be sure everything works properly. Your warranty is only good for one year. Look for things like missing screws or misaligned cabinet doors... Our first mh in 2015 spent more time in the dealership than on the road but after that it was great. We are now in our second mh in 2018 and had only a few minor issues. We just returned from a 5 week southern states trip that covered 6700 miles. Two weeks later we went another 1,000 round trip to Tombstone from so ca.

Hi! Fellow Texan here. We’ve got a 2017 Challenger that we purchased new. It’s been a pretty good unit for us. It had its share of warranty issues, but all resolved satisfactorily. We’ve put about 14,000 miles on it so far. Good luck with yours!!
