2019 Thor Compass 23TW Power to TV

Hello Everyone. We are new RV owners and are still learning. Covid 19 put everything on hold and we are finally going to take the Compass out for the first time this weekend.

My question is: When I am hooked up to direct from my garage there is power to the inside TVs. When I am not hooked up to direct power there is no power to the inside TVs even when the generator is running. Is there a switch somewhere?

How do you watch TV if you are dry camping? What am I missing?

I'm not familiar with your model but after taking a quick look at the specs I don't see an Inverter listed.

If you do not have an Inverter to allow the house batteries to power a couple outlets, you would have to run your generator to watch TV.

You can also consider adding a 1000W Inverter if your coach did not come with one.

Outlets are 120 volts. If your not hooked to shore power they are not gonna work. They should work on generator. No reason not to unless you have an INverter that powers them and the battery disconnect is off.

The TVs should work with the generator. As others explained, you need an inverter to use batteries for the TV.

One question - do you have power to anything when you use the generator? I had a problem the generator would run but there was no power to any outlet. I'll look up the fix but it's easy.

The TV should work with the genny, it has a switch that you can hear when it is up to power, it takes 5-10 seconds and then all of the 110 outlets should work.
If the lights to microwave work than there is power to that circuit for the TV`s but that is my unit and may be different in yours. Ask any questions, there are lots of people with experience on this forum
