Until you turn unto a street a d then see the low clearance sign for the RR underpass. The one in Chicago comes to mind and no it wasn't listed in the Truckers atlas.

Well, this requires a project.
Post the location of that bridge.

I will, or you can, start a new thread so we all can compare our map software and paper maps.

I can do sygic for trucks, someone else garmin, someone else street atlas, and on and on.
Lets take this chance to see what does what.

We know truckers atlas failed.
Who else will fail?

You are. A 4WD vehicle such as a Jeep (or our Colorado) requires the TRANSMISSION to be in gear (manual) or park (automatic) and the TRANSFER CASE to be in neutral. This type of TOAD doesn't care if it is going forward or backward.

OTOH, an Automatic Transmission vehicle that can be towed 4 flat may have a prohibition about towing it backwards (especially for any appreciable distance) due to the fluid circulating system not designed to operate in the reverse direction.

At the gas station, all was well until I moved forward to leave. Concrete slanted up a few inches and my A/C cover started to drag the roof. Let the air suspension down and made it through without backing up/unhooking/wrecking my tow bars. Air back up and on our way.

Thanks
I also tow a wrangler but would never try to back-up. I' don't want to mess up anything

I am pretty sure I read in the owners manual not to back up. I am sure lots have done it and had no problems but I am sure it’s in there for a reason. We have only caught in one situation where we got stuck. As much as I wanted to just back up. Unhooking was the best choice. It’s kind of the tripping over a dollar to save a dime. What happens that one time something bad happens. That lost 15 mins is going to seem like nothing.
