Water issues

Hello all, I am new to the motor home life and to Thor. My wife and I traded in our travel trailer for a Thor Four Winds 24F.
We love the full side tip out as it gives us so much more space. The unit was a 2018 fleet rental with only 13,000 Kms.
Apart from minor issues like doors and drawers flying open we have had one reoccurring issue.
As our unit stays at the dealer if it has been raining when we pick it up there is always water on the floor. When the side is out even in heavy rain no water. If the side is in , water is coming in from somewhere. Our dealer is very good and has been trying to fix the issue.
I would be very interested if any other 24F owners have had this leaking problem with this configuration of motor home.
Cheers
B.

simple, when th eslide is in in rain , what is the lean on the coach is it tilted towards the center of the coach? maybe rain will leak behind and roll into the coach, i get a bit of water when i use a truck wash the high pressure gets behind the seal and it rolls in

Water issues

Thanks for your reply , the RV is stored on a fairly level gravel lot. Interesting you mentioned the driver seat . That is one area where water gathers , the other is the slide behind the dinette. The small piece of carpet there is always wet. Our dealer has recaulked the bottom of each seal which is where he thinks the water is entering.
The unit is now in storage with a cover so we will have to wait until next April when we start RV again.

While I don't have any decent advice about where to look for the leak : I'd still like to welcome you to the Forum, and wish you the best of luck with the repairs!

Do you have covers over your slides? If not, consider installing them...it helps keep water off the top of the slides...thus, entering your coach when slides are in.

Slide covers

Thanks , I never knew there were such a thing. I never had slide covers on my travel trailer. I think there may be an issue with the design of this massive slide out. That’s why I would be interested in hearing from other Four Winds 24F owners. But covers are something I will look into for sure.
