NUGGETMIKE, that can not be right, $220.00 for a jet pack from Verizon for one month, I bought the $200.00 unit and my bill for the jet pack is only $17.00 a month and I have had it for 2 years, I do not use it everyday, I do take week long trips to the desert and come home for a week and then back down, only ran over on data one time when I forgot to turn the unit off when I was not using it, the lap top is just like using my home computer when I use the jet pack, I have used my I phone and I pad for hot spots and there is a big difference, I plan to up grade to the newer unit, my total bill for Verizon for an un limited plan on my I phone, I pad and the Jet Pack is only $160.00 a month.

This is what we have used for the past year. Works well and connects both TV’s and our laptops. Phone and wife’s iPad.

I'm looking for a pre-paid SIM card for data that doesn't expire monthly and is good till the data runs out. Is there such a thing?

Pretty pricey unless you're interested in making that large donation in the first place ...

Wow! Links work so much better than an ambiguous word.

If you need it for the whole year that $400/year ($500 the first year) is not a bad monthly price. The issue isit is on the Sprint network, which becomes less of an issue with the T-Mobile merger, but coverage is nowhere near as good a AT&T or Verizon. Heck, I couldn't even use it here at my home as coverage on both those networks is hit and miss. Maybe with T-Mobile's 5G roll out it will get better. They seem to be investing a lot into that infrastructure.

EDIT: I just looked at their advertised 4G coverage map (T-Mobile) and it says I have "Excellent" coverage at my house. I'll need to test that but if true this may be the scissors that cuts my overpriced cable cord.,

Hi Judge!...I found the Winegart that I have to be very intermittent...I don’t think my Winegart is as upmarket as yours...mine is the entry level that can only extend a signal by about 50 paces (I put it to the test...)
...As you instructed me to do, (btw thank you) by powering the coach down, Winegart would initiate but only sometimes...(I used 10.11.12.1 on my Android Google Home app)...but since I have changed to an iPhone, even with the Google Home app installed, I can’t get into Winegart...we’ve been doing without as we have unlimited data on both of our phones but alas it’s TMobile, and that’s not so good...:-)...
Anyway, that’s my update, any nuggets would be great from you or any contributor....best Ian
