2012 Cruiser Patriot CF335SS Back to the shop

Was finishing the winterizing and went to move a few items from under the bed and the bed came separated from the wall - appears that the screws never went into the studs - just the thin paneling. Also note that the left corner is missing a piece. I got a feeling that much of this is due to the bed slide modification and re-built. Kamper Dave had the same problem on their unit - he made the repairs himself. I decided to make the RV shop and CrossRoads take care of the repairs. if it ever fails again I'll be performing the "Kamper Dave mod"

Got it home after another 3 weeks at the dealer - appears that they fix the problem for now. Sat for 1 1/2 weeks before they even looked at it. My last purchase from them.

Bob:
I sure hope they have got the problems all taken care of, (for good) If my memory serves me right there have been a few of you guys up in that neck of the woods with all kinds of problems.
There is a lot to be said for/about a good dealer. There priceless, and apparently hard to come by.
Here's hoping you will have a trouble free season next year.

simple fix ...the piece of wood that is 2 1/2 " that is screwed into the wall should have been at least as wide as the bed is thick ...or a bit more . That way the mattress has somewhere to sit when the bed is lifted .....obviously another Crossroads design error ...CALL someone at Crossroads and complain ...

good luck

harley is right on with his statement about the size of the board. The one at the head of the bed on our cruiser has ample width, and we haven't had any problems with it. We use extra caution tho, and slide the mattress back before raising it.
