Trouble pre-cooling the fridge

We're getting our new rig (Shadow Cruiser 239rbs) ready for it's shake-down trip and we turned the fridge on to pre-chill and it started to beep and a light flashed. This is a 2-way Dometic of some sort (don't have the manual in front of me). We're trying to run the fridge with electricity (gas is off) and the check light goes on and beeping after about 30 seconds. The check light from what we understand is to alert for no gas. Why would the check light go off with electricity only?

So, we've done all the usual stuff to remedy this situation and nothing is working. Anyone have any suggestions that might help? We'll be calling the dealer on Monday morning if we can't get this figured out but I thought I'd tap the knowledge here too.

2 way Dometic fridges don't have an "On-Electric" position. It is AUTO-OFF-Gas.

In AUTO it will run off 120 VAC if available, otherwise it runs off gas.

You are getting the "Check" light because the fridge does not see 120 VAC and can't light the gas.

Are you plugged into SP?
Is your microwave clock on?

We turned the gas to On (per the instruction manual) and then pushed Auto and what lit up was the Check light, followed by constant beeping. According to Dometic, the beeping caused by the door(s) not being fully shut, but they were. We even double-checked all of the shelves/drawers to make sure that they were fully in and not causing even the slightest bit of space to keep the doors ajar.

We are plugged into SP and checked to make sure that it was working by testing the microwave and lights in the kitchen area, all of which worked. We checked the fuses---all good. Fridge is plugged in.

The fridge eventual switched over to LP but we'd much rather run it off of SP but something is causing it to not work in that manner. We've never had this problem with any Dometic fridge in any of our previous rigs so we're dealing with unknown territory.

Si if it works by LP gas then you know you have 12 VDC control power. What is missing is 120 VAC to the fridge. Cycle the Fridge breaker in the Power Center. Check behind the fridge to make sure the 120 VAC plug is plugged into the receptacle. If you can use a voltmeter verify you have 120 VAC to the receptacle (or go buy an outlet tester).
If power to the receptacle check power to the heating element - it may have burnt out.

In use switch

Do you have an inverter under it? That happened to us. We made sure the switch was on (not just red). Then ours worked fine.
