Regarding fuel mileage...Our 2016 Axis 24.1 never fails to surprise us in the oddest places. Colorado Rocky Mountains for one or all !!
We travel the windy southwest and heartland and get 8-9 mpg and then once in a while we get a bit over 10 mpg.
Ron, in his younger days believed in driving 5 over wherever we traveled. Now, we are not in any hurry..he sets it on 55 and goes.
We have been fortunate in having the Triton V-10 in this Axis and 2 previous Ford framed RVs .
Having bought the Axis new, its amazing smart transmission continued to get smarter the more we drove it.
I as the co-pilot, hope we are able to continue our journeys for another year or so, before health issues make it necessary to hang out hear home.
ENJOY IT WHILE YOU CAN...we have been RVing for over 25 yrs and LOVE IT !
STAY SAFER...get your VACCINE !

It would be interesting to hear from Vegas (and Axis) owners with newer motorhomes that have the V8 instead of V10 to see if it makes enough of a difference to stand out. Given the wide range of reported data, any possible improvement may not be possible to detect.

The newest 24.1 and 24.3 floor plans on E-350 (versus other two floor plans on E-450) may do a little better if equipped with available taller gearing, plus they are a little lighter to start with (not that weight makes as much difference at highway speeds).

I know 1 MPG or about 10% won’t make or break a trip, but saving an extra $10 or more with each fill-up is nice if there are no associated downsides.

2018 Axis 25.3. On 1st tank, got 9.3 mpg assuming half gal per hour for generator use. No toad. Mostly freeway speeds around San Diego.

Buying a toad today and have 4 trips booked so far, so we'll get to see more realistic numbers this summer.
