LED porch stays on

New to Thorforums so Hello!

2018 Jayco Eagle 317
The porch light (led top strip and under stair light) will not shut off. I do some dry camping and am concerned it will run down battery.

Bought used from dealer May 2020. Lights used to work. Stopped a couple months ago.

I don't have a remote with this trailer so it's not that.

Any ideas?

Just pop the switch off the wall and remove one of the wires... If it goes out, it's a bad switch. It's 12volt, so no danger of getting shocked.

If you can't replace the switch right away, tape the bare wires with black electrical tape.

Why don't you have a remote with the 5th wheel trailer? Isn't it supposed to have one?
A lot of times if the remote system thinks you have turned the lights on (or deployed the awning, etc) with the remote, you can only reverse the process with the remote.

porch lights

Thanks to Chateau_Norman and 16ACE27 for your replies. The switch wiring was dead.

Though this trailer didn't come with a remote it does have a digital controller on the wall. It's labeled LCI. I believe it's made by Lippert. This panel has a lighting feature with an item called "Accent Lights"
This item was in the ON position.
When I switched it OFF the porch light switch began to work.
