Accolade heading to Factory Service

Well the day has arrived for us to leave for Middlebury to take the Critter Cave to Jayco Factory Service for the slide issue. We decided we are going to take 3 days for the trip down and enjoy the ride.

Items on the list for repair include:
  1. Adjustment of the dinette slide and repainting the slide after adjustment
  2. Dip in side wall
  3. Hot water heat not working on electric
  4. LED light lens will not stay on and keeps falling off

The Jayco appointment is for 2 weeks due to the painting requirement so we will turn it over to them on Monday morning and hopefully pick it up on Aug 21 if not sooner.

Pleasant experience with dropping the coach off at Jayco/Entegra this morning. The tech added 3 additional items to the punch list. There were about 10 Entegra checking in with all the others being high end pushers. I was out of there by 7:15. I should get a status report by Friday.

Glad to see that the operative phrase right now is, "So far: so good!"

Update 1 from Factory Service

Received my first update from the Service Advisor today.

The slide issue has been resolved and when everything else is complete the coach will be headed to paint.

They are replacing the water heater.

Still a few more items to resolve so it's still in the shop.

The coach went to the paint shop today. They hope to have it complete by Tuesday afternoon.

Service complete

I received a phone call from Jayco/Entegra Factory Service this morning and the Accolade's service is complete.
  1. They adjusted the slide and repainted as necessary. The slide adjustment straightened the issue with the bow in the wall after correction.
  2. Replaced the catch for the bed prop
  3. Replaced the water heater. The original water heater was damaged during removal so it had to be replaced.
  4. Replaced the LED lights over the TV
  5. Adjusted the latches on the kitchen drawers
  6. Reinstalled the refrigerator door lock with larger screws
  7. Installed a larger wipe seal over the kitchen slide

We are going to take a nice leisurely trip this weekend to go pick it up and return home the middle of next week.

So far so good. Let's see how the pickup goes.

Reunited with the coach

Well we got to Middlebury to pick up the coach this afternoon and I will say they did a remarkable job. They addressed everything on the list and a couple of other items as well.

I will also say that dealers need to send their prep folks here for training on how to sanitize a coach. The COVID team cleaned the inside after the techs got finished and there isn’t a spec of dust or a spot of dirt to be seen.

The only complaint I have is they had all my storage compartments unlocked. Nothing missing but don’t know why the didn’t lock them when they parked the coach.

We decided to go full hookup for the night so we are staying at the Middlebury KOA rather than the Entegra parking area. Should head back East tomorrow and we are taking It easy along the way.

My compartments automatically lock when you lock the door with the key pad and if course you can lock just the compartments

Do you need to change programming to include compartments with door locking?
