Venture 302VRB They Got Me!

Just purchased a new Venture 302VRB. I was impressed with their design, build and look. I thought I was pretty clever crawling around and looking into every nook and crevice. Even climbed up to the roof for a look.

Had it a week and was having fun. The weather was clear. Then the rain came. On Friday didn't understand why there was moisture in the bathroom skylight. Climbed up and put on a Maxx Air2 and discovered not 1 but 2 cracked skylights (It comes with 2). The cracks were on the base the kind you get when you screw too tight on thin plastic.

The living room skylight was utterly shredded. I attached a picture. I have to wait until Tuesday to find out where we go from here. Oh and it rained last night (I wasnt expecting) and started dripping inside.

I eternabonded both (after taking pictures). Tested it with water hose and it seemed to do well. So this is something I am very mad about. This should have been caught because it leaks.

Also I am on a seasonal site so moving back and forth not easy.
To be continued...

Yes, ouch. But it’s a quick, easy, cheap repair. Simple to replace the whole thing and if you did it well your tape repair should hold it until you can get it fixed. If it’s the worst problem you ever have with your RV you are ahead of many! If it makes you so mad you have to censor your comments I’m afraid you might be in for a frustrating ownership experience. Hope you find happiness.

I agree: these should be easy to make right.

Even though it's a darn shame that you have to!

Good luck; please let us know how this all works out...

Just got my 302VRB, and both sky lights are leaking and the front windshield. Should have got on this forum before I bought. Waiting on the new batch of them to come in, and hopefull it will put in right and checked out before I get it back.

Ugh that sucks sorry to hear that. Were they cracked or not sealed right? My dealer was very accomadating hopefully you have the same experience.

I do not think I replied to what happened. The dealer was accomodating and did their part. Not too happy with manufacturer, not even a 'we are sorry to hear that'.
Have not checked it in about a month. Previous checks showed it was good to go. Going to see hopefully this week.

The problem is that I love the layout and the camper.

Checked on it this week. All looks good so I am happy. My biggest dissapointment was that I feel that good QC should have caught that. If not at the manufacture then the dealer. It was very easy spot once you looked. Can't wait for 2020 camping!

Recall

Funny just got a recall notice for the trailer. Recall for faulty skylight! Looks like I was not the only person with the issue. Dissappointed by the response from the manufacturer who said oh it's not a big deal - blah blah blah. It states all KZ trailers manufactured Nov 18- Oct 19 may be affected. If you have not checked yours do so.
