New Bronco - TOAD?

The new Ford Bronco has me salivating; under the assumption that I could afford one anytime soon.

The base model comes with a manual transmission -

Has anyone found the full specs, and leaked op manual, or have an inside contact to know if any variation can be be flat-towed?

I saw a couple on I95 a couple weeks ago. Specs should be out.

Nothing needs to be leaked; the Owners manual is online.

https://owner.ford.com/tools/account...d&model=Bronco

The Bronco has a neutral tow mode for both manual and automatic transmissions so, yes, it is flat towable as a toad.

I was also interested on the Bronco as towed vehicle.
The rep at a local dealership here in Vegas told me it can’t be flat towed. I told them I am serious about getting one. Why they told me it can’t be flat towed? Either it is the truth, or they dont know what they are talking about.

The Sport is NOT flat towable. The other model is.

The Sport was the first version to be released and can not be flat towed, the other version is.

Hi. Do you happen to know which particular model can be flat towed? Any idea of the release date? I am leaning on getting a Jeep wrangler as of November. But if a certain Bronco model can be flat towed, then I may have to look at that one first.

The Sport is the only one not flat towable.

Yes, and keep in mind that “Bronco” and “Bronco Sport” are two completely different vehicles except for name. The Sport is FWD based on car platform and Bronco is RWD with real transfer case and built like a truck.

Marketing must try to confuse buyers by using same names for completely different vehicles, like Transit and Transit Connect for vans, and real Mustang versus electric 4-door SUV also called a Mustang.

Sorry, couldn’t resist

Thanks all! It does appear that both manual and automatic versions of the "Real Bronco" (coming soon.....) can be flat towed.

Now - where are my lottery winnings?

If it's got a transfer case with a neutral position:
The original bronco "Sport" was pretty much a re-skinned Escape: not too sporting...

Lol

So, I went out to their web site and built my own bronco. When all was and and done, I removed the doors and roof. I couldn't stop laughing...it looked like it was sitting in a junk yard

I still have tears of laughter in my eyes

My motorcycle engine is bigger than these. 3 cylinders? Seems like 1/2 an engine.

I won’t get a four cylinder engine, much less 3.

Nice looking vehicle. Hope they add a real engine option.

It's not do much the engine; as it is the gearing. My 1945 Willys MB could climb places where the current crop of 4x4s can only dream...

... with a mere 60 hp.
